Biography [ENG]

Alberto Perticone was born in 1995 in Pistoia.
After classical high school, he enrolled in UniFi, where he graduated in mechanical engineering with full marks and honors in 2020.
During the internship in Modena, he worked, in the automotive field, on the optimization of the head-on shock absorbers and the windshield of a premium GT vehicle.
After graduation, he got his professional engineering license and received a research grant for the European MeBeSafe project, supervised by Volvo Cars. There, he was in charge of motorcycle detection and tracking to evaluate nudging solutions integrated in the road infrastructure in Eindhoven (NL).
Since 2020 as doctoral student, he has been committed to devising a restraint device for motorcyclists, exploiting the HBM THUMS by Toyota Motor Corporation. His activities swing among finite element simulations (FEM), multi-body simulations (MBS), data processing and are notably focused on an onward and unceasing scientific review.

Alberto Perticone nasce nel 1995 a Pistoia.
Dopo il conseguimento della maturità classica, si iscrive ad UniFi, dove ottiene la laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica nel 2020 con il massimo dei voti e lode.
Durante il periodo di tesi a Modena, lavora sulla sicurezza passiva in campo automotive, ottimizzando gli ammortizzatori anteriori ed il parabrezza di un veicolo spider di lusso.
Dopo la laurea, consegue l’abilitazione all’esercizio della professione e partecipa con borsa di ricerca al progetto europeo MeBeSafe, supervisionato da Volvo Cars. Qui, si occupa di rilevamento e tracking di motocicli per la valutazione di soluzioni di nudging integrate nell’infrastruttura stradale ad Eindhoven (NL).
Dal 2020 è dottorando e si occupa dello sviluppo di un dispositivo di ritenuta per motociclisti, attraverso lo studio del modello di corpo umano THUMS di Toyota. Le sue attività spaziano tra: simulazioni FEM, multi-body, data processing ed una progressiva ed incessante revisione della letteratura scientifica.
